1. Yeah

They're building up Dean because they think he is a weak candidate against Bush. You'll never hear them talk about Kerry. And what the fuck happened to Juan Williams? He used to be okay.

3. I never liked Juan Williams
I always thought he was jack-ass. Was highly disappointed when he took of Talk of the Nation on NPR a few years ago.

4. They're saying that Dean controls the race
I agree that he has the momentum at this point. But it's still early in the campaign and we could see some dramatic shifts.

They also said that Dean is pulling the other candidates to the left and Lieberman and Gephardt have an opening on the right.

I think they are dead wrong there.

5. Not when he was on Talk of the Nation
He was such a comedown after Ray Suarez.

I didn't see Dean as the winner tonight, although he was okay. Except for Al Sharpton's right-on oratory, they were all good, better on some issues than others, but no clear standouts.

18. You missed their point
It wasn't so much that Dean won the debate itself, but that he was the winner because as frontrunner he didn't suffer any crushing blows. He's still the frontrunner. He's therefore the winner as the still-standing frontrunner.

6. Had to turn FAUX off
Great debate, IMO Lieberman, Kucinch, and CMB should fold their tent and go home. Sharpton needs to stay in, although it is unreasonable to think that he would be the candidate he has way to much baggage and the RNC would crush him, he brings up so many issues in a way that the front runners can't. He speaks like a man who has nothing to loose and everything to gain

9. I'm wondering the same thing.
I used to like Juan. Seems like he is now part of the Faux agenda.

14. Juan William's sister is a real LIB and takes him to task
apparently. I heard him discussing how she thought (knew) Bush had stolen the election, etc., etc. I think she lives overseas, but she does have HIS number... He's in big time denial or just a total sellout whore. Or both.

7. What Kristol and Williams said...
What Kristol and Williams said is that every debate in which Dean comes out unscathed is a victory for Dean.

As all of us that are into sports know very well, the team that plays to protect a lead usually ends up losing the game.

10. Dean isn't pulling anything to the left
If anyone is doing that, it's Kucinich, Braun and Sharpton. Dean isn't any more liberal than any of the candidates in general.

13. Dean pulled the candidates to the left on the War issue...
that is what the pundits were talking about.

11. Interesting how Carl Cameron (inadvertently?) pointed out the FOX lies
of Snow, Williams, and Krystal. All three had argued no one had attempted to attack Dean and, therefore, being unscathed, he was the winner. Why they would be promoting a version of the facts anyone who watched the debate would know isn't true, is beyond me, but in the next segment, Cameron noted there were serious attacks on Dean by Kerry and Lieberman.
