Outside the Fox Theatre, Michigan Republican Party Chairwoman Betsy DeVos and other GOP activists are expected to protest as the debate begins.

On Friday, Republican National Committee Chairman Ed Gillespie said that the Democratic candidates have engaged in an unprecedented pattern of "political hate speech" against an incumbent president.

I tried to get the people I went to the rally with to stop by the Fox so we could question the protesters. Is it protesting free speech? Is it protesting a two party system?

The truth has now become "political hate speech". I don't get it. It wasn't "hate speech" when a sitting president was raked over the coals for his personal life. Man I wish I could have asked them.

1. Betsy DeVos is a joke
The DeVos family got rich by scamming people through pyramid schemes and by dodging Canadian taxes.
I think she was protesting Black people or something.

10. Her blanket statement on just how well the president would fare
against any of the 9 candidates. Michigan itself is suffering from the worst of the job cuts, while Republicans gladly hand the jobs away. This is a state full of newly poor, angry people who aren't going to cotton to Ms. Miller's statement.

4. They were protesting
Democrats have an opportunity to speak freely on national television. Little worse could happen to Shrubya*.

Of course then there was the news from Iraq...

Hard to spin that one into a success.

7. Yes, I find myself scratching my head and wondering when
that opportunity came into question. It just made me laugh to think that they felt they had something to protest. I mean, come on.
