Listening to a local Liberal on WPTT
She just read an e-mail from a mother of a soldier who said that bodies of dead soldiers are being transported from Dover in Fed-Ex trucks, not hearses! This is disgusting!!!!!!!

1. This must be the real reason they put a lid on the media.
Not enough hearses.

2. Inappropriate maybe
I'd hardly call a Fed-Ex truck disgusting. It's perhaps inappropriate but is perfectly clean, safe transport. This does suggest that they've got more bodies on their hands than they can handle through traditional means.

3. I'm not calling Fed-Ex TRUCKS disgusting
You miss my point. It is a slap in the face to the soldiers who went over there to die for Halliburton and Exxon. So little respect for the troops that this insane administration says it supports.

8. It is pretty disrespectful of the deceased.
They are treating them as baggage.

6. They have 35 hearses at Dover ????
They are used first to move the body from the plane via honor guard for the half-mile trek to the mortuary, and from there the bodies move by hearse with military drivers to final burial location, or by plane to that location.

This seems to say that someone has added the option to FedEx the body to the final burial location. As the goal is to return the body ASAP, the fellow that said "when you have to get it there overnight" may well have hit on the reason to use FedEx.

9. Who Pays?
Does the military pay the entire expense for the transporation of the body to it's final resting place, or just like the troops who came home for their short R & R, only get to Dover or a regional base and the family has to handle it expenses beyond?

I ask this since certainly many of those returning in pine boxes are from the poorer regions of the country and the expense of a full military internment is prohibitive, and Fed Ex is the only way.

Yes, it's disgusting to see those who died as victims in a war not of their own making are disposed of such a bottom-line method.

Didn't Lincoln personally write condolence letters to the families of KIAs? Can't WhittleAss take a few minutes a day to send a few consoling words to the 2 or 3 additional families that now enter the surreal world of losing a loved one in the prime of their lives.
