Saw a few minutes of Meet the Press from yesterday, with Sens. Hagel (R) and Rockefeller (D) discussing the White House's failure to turn over many documents related to 9-11 and Iraq.
Maybe it was just me, but they seemed SERIOUS. They BOTH seemed like they were looking beyond any partisan politics and were seriously interested in getting to the bottom of what the administration may have known prior to 9-11, and more importantly, whether or not the WH exaggerated the threat from Iraq. They seemd to both be treating it with the same seriousness as we do here, and an objectivity worthy of a scientist.
What struck me even more, though, was that they sounded like a couple of FBI agents investigating a case. All business... "just the facts, ma'am". Maybe Hagel was the "good cop" to Rockefeller's "bad cop", but they both seemed focused on the target of the White House and on finding out the truth.
Am I being too optimistic? Did anyone else see more of this MTP and have their impressions to share?
