Which Dem candidate would be the best at working with a repug congress?
That is, which candidate has the best political ability to persuade, pressure, make compromises when necessary, use the bully pulpit, and generally get an agenda turned into action?

Many of them have political experience; but who is most likely to be a leader who can get Democratic ideas and plans accomplished?

1. Kerry.
In my opinion, Kerry would work best with a repug congress.

President Dean would have rough sledding with Tom DeLay and Bill Frist.

2. Yeah, Kerry, Lieberman, Gephardt
Basically the ones who don't veer very far from the right in the first place.

3. Lieberman, Sharpton
Republicans identify with demagoguery. Lieberman and Sharpton, while offering contrasting styles and visions, are the Dems that can do that the best.

5. Lieberman
after all, he has long experience as, in many regards, a Republican congressperson.

6. How about - Which can get us a Democratic congress soonest?
We need to get rid of the current Congress and get more Democrats in there so that we have a mjority.

Sort of a ¨¨Contract With America¨¨ kind of thing.

10. Clark
He's worked well with Republicans before at fundraisers and when he was working in the Whitehouse under Ford. He and them should get along just fine.

12. Kerry
The smart-ass answer is Lieberman because he votes with the other side on most important issues anyway.

Serious answer is Kerry. Someone recently posted an article illustrating his ability to work with even the most conservative leaders. I hope it gets posted again here.

Worst has to be Dean. He's all about anger, rather than persuasion and his cockroach comment won't win many friends.
