Shriver requests Clinton/Dems aid in finding Arnold a chief of staff
Edited on Mon Oct-27-03 03:51 PM by CatWoman
INVASION OF THE PARTY SNATCHERS? California Gov.-elect Arnold Schwarzenegger says he's a loyal Republican. Not so his wife, Maria Shriver. The future first lady has asked her Democratic friends, including Bill Clinton loyalists and veteran campaign ops, to help her find a chief of staff. "The job has not been very fleshed out," said an E-mail circulating last week, "but she's looking for someone who is bright, loyal (obviously a key characteristic), a Democrat (yes, it's true) and a fast learner. The person does not need to have past political experience, but does need to be willing to spend weekdays in Sacramento. It could be a pretty cool job for the right person." Consider this a free want ad, Maria!

2. Forget it
let him find his own people. Dems have already made a deal with him regarding appointments in California--rejecting most of Davis' last minute appointments in return for 17 appointments and now she wants Dems to help Arnold find a chief of Staff!! No way. I see also no one is really f/up on his sexual assaults either.

6. "Does not have to have past political experience"
Somehow I think this is a hoax. People with no political experience NEVER get hired for a position the high. EVER.

7. "No political experience"?!?!?!
As Jon would say, "Waaaaa????"

This is the one time they would absolutely need an experienced, in-the-beltway kind of person to shepard Arnie through the process.

If this is true, it sure doesn't inspire confidence -- something about the blind leading the blind....

10. I think this refers to HER chief of staff, not his...
He already has one, who is a Republican, from what I remember. But the first lady gets one as well I think.
