The most important page on the World Wide Web
http://www.whitehouse.gov/response/disarm.html

Disarm Saddam Hussein

The gravest danger we face in the war on terror is outlaw regimes that seek and possess nuclear, chemical and biological weapons.

Twelve years ago, Saddam Hussein agreed to disarm all weapons of mass destruction. For 12 years, he systematically violated that agreement.

Three months ago, the United Nations Security Council gave Saddam his final chance to disarm. He has shown his utter contempt for the U.N.

The U.N. and U.S. intelligence sources have known for some time that Saddam Hussein has materials to produce chemical and biological weapons, but he has not accounted for them:

26,000 liters of anthrax—enough to kill several million people

38,000 liters of botulinum toxin

500 tons of sarin, mustard and VX nerve agents

Almost 30,000 munitions capable of delivering chemical agents

From three Iraqi defectors, we know that Iraq in the late 1990s had several mobile biological weapons labs. But he has not disclosed them.

The International Atomic Energy Agency confirmed in the 1990s that Saddam Hussein had an advanced nuclear weapons development program, a design for a nuclear weapon, and was working on methods of enriching uranium for a nuclear bomb. He recently sought significant quantities of uranium from Africa, according to the British Government. He has attempted to purchase high strength aluminum tubes suitable for nuclear weapons, according to our intelligence sources. Yet he has not credibly explained these activities.

It is 7:41 p.m. ET on October 27 2003, and the Niger uranium claim is STILL on the White House web page, along with millions of pounds of WMDs that, simply, do not exist.

Grab this page.

Let's have some fun. Can YOU find each and every lie on this web page? There are a lot, and I already gave you one.

Go.

1. Make sure you save that page, because I'm sure it'll either disappear
Edited on Mon Oct-27-03 07:51 PM by boxster
or it'll be modified. I'm quite surprised that it hasn't been yanked already.

As for lies, how about we start with "President George W. Bush" in the top header? :P

How's this one for laughs: "We will consult."

Yeah, right. As Dogbert once said, "I like to con people, and I like to insult people." Hence, a consultant! Fits BushCo, all right.

2. The Gravest Danger
Excuse me, George. Excuse me, but the "gravest danger we face in the war on terror" is the incompetence of idiotic idealogues such as yourself who place their self-interests before the interests of the citizens of the United States and the world.

High strength aluminum tubes suitable for nu-ku-lar weapons, eh? I know a better use for one of those tubes.

31. No, a guy standing on the ground
with a sign that says "Go Away--You're Not Welcome Here."

And, of course, big rolls of black plastic sheeting.

They took down the billboards for the Al-Saddam Weapons of Mass Destruction Storage Facility and Gift Shop too, and erased it from the road map.

The Soviets shot down Francis Gary Powers with an SA-2 Guideline missile, which was specifically designed to shoot down the U-2. Nothing else in the communist inventory reaches high enough, and the Soviets didn't sell these to client states. We could have worked Iraq with impunity.

Must be a typo...has/had. So easy to slip up. After all, the 's' key is next to the 'd' key.

9. The only nuke material was locked up by the UN, and under guard by
Iraqi police. We come along, unseal the bunkers, disarm the guards, then we leave it wide open, unguarded. No telling where the yellow cake

and everything in between.

For fun, I tried to find what truths I might find in this......am still looking, so far, 0.

would constitute evidence needed for the impeachment of the entire executive branch of the Bush administration. They are all guilty of conspiracy to commit murder, the unlawful invasion of another country, and factually lying the people of United States. Further, they lied to Congress, multiple times, which is a felony crime, and an impeachable offense.

How this nation, and its supposedly representative congress, can allow this administration to continue in office is beyond me, especially in consideration of what they did to Bill Clinton over a blow job between consenting adults. WTF is wrong with this picture??

:wtf: :grr:

They haven't accepted that these are lies yet. I'm sure there were some chemical and bio weapons laying around in Iraq but nothing near the calibre the Bush administration's intelligence (or lack of) led us to believe.

25. Ya know...they actually sort of tell the truth once on this page.
"The gravest danger we face in the war on terror is outlaw regimes that seek and possess nuclear, chemical and biological weapons."

I don't know that it's the GRAVEST danger, but it's dangerous. Of course Iraq had nothing to do with that, but I'm glad to see the entire page isn't crap. One sentence is actually OK. Nice work.

26. Clinton was on C-SPAN
with Bob Dole and the question of Iraq and WMD came into play. Clinton said, "In '98 there were stockpiles of weapons that were unaccounted for, but as far this 'nuclear story,' I don't know anything about that." His cynicism with the later part of this sentence told everything without having to come right out and call Bush a liar.

I was interested to know what "unaccounted" weapons Clinton was talking about talking about.

Anyway, very interesting and it made me miss having a real President

29. 'Unaccounted for'
means that by 1998 the Iraqis had begun wholesale unilateral destruction of their weapon stockpiles without telling the Americans or UNSCOM they were doing it, and without keeping records. They did this, basically, because they didn't want to get caught with the stuff. That means, by the technical accounting demands set forth by the UN, accounting for 100% of the stuff would be impossible.

We also blew a lot of it up in Gulf War I, spread the records across the desert on fire. That's an accounting problem, too.
