While waiting in the ER the other day I saw a copy of the large print
edition of "Reader's Digest." Occasionally I like to read inspirational stories from that mag, even though it is written at the sixth grade level and is more skewed to the right than a drunken hobo with his right wooden leg half sawed-off. Also, it's very pro fundy Christianity, which pisses me off.

I agree with with the words of Thomas Jefferson: “Christianity is the most perverted system ever shone to man.”

The title of one of the stories was about how Christianity is being attacked globally. Oh, that's rich. The fundies are getting mad because they are finding it harder and harder to shove their beliefs down our throats.

Just think what life would really be like if Christianity were being attacked:

Life in Our Anti-Christian America

Read it and weep...with laughter. :)

4. Next on my list to read
is the Poisonwood Bible.

Right now, I'm reading The Handmaid's Tale, by Margaret Atwood. I'm only about 60 pages into it, but the setting seems to be a world where the fundamentalist christians have gotten everything they want. Needless to say, it's a frightening book.
