Bush is really a total embarrassment as President of the US
He keeps drumming the same lies and idiotic statements that appeal only to the ditto heads and those who know how to use the ignorance of the ditto heads.

5. He was just asked a question that he didn't even realize was against
his stand on loans vs grants for Iraq. He totally missed the question and began to stumble and mumble when he realized what was happening to him. It's amazing that this idiot sits as President...

10. Yale must be so proud to call him a graduate!!!
Unfreakingbeleivable performace...one more (press conferance) and he's done.

If the we get the debates next year, hopefully even "not so sharp" Americans will even realize a buddy in the WH is NOT a good thing and that someone more intelligent then a rock is actually a good thing!

14. There will be no debates next year.
Mark my word (Bush knows he will lose far more votes by debating than he would lose if he just stonewalls the requests for debates).

11. Yes, but it works!
Millions of Americans flat-out LOVE the guy. He can do no wrong. On C-Span call-in the other day a woman called in and she went on and on about how great he is, finally the moderator asked what specifically she liked about him, and she said it's that he's such a nice Christian man. That's all that matters to a lot of voters. While a small minority of Americans read and debate the issues and decide who to vote for based on reason, most Americans want someone to tell them who to vote for and reassure them that it's the right choice. That Bush professes to be a God-fearing, kick-ass Christian is good enough for them.

19. barf
I am so tired of people making so much of how good a Christian he is. What a load of crap. I swear these people wouldn't know a good Christian if it jumped up and bit them in the butt. Apparently the "Christ" guy they think GW is following is a completely different dude from the nice Jewish boy who got nailed to a tree by the Romans for telling everyone to play nice. It just makes you want to throttle these people until their teeth rattle.

15. Hang in there you guys..I think the press has finally faced up to the fact
that he is a MORON!....Just maybe they are about to shuck off his pathetic treatment of them as if they were his pets and start to act like real journalists....These seemed to me to be the hardest sustained questions I've seen at one of these sessions!

16. I agree!
The questions, overall, were good. They nailed him on issues and forced him to babble nonsense in response.

18. was this the first UNSRIPTED press confrence ?
The questions seemed to be much harsher .
However I didn't hear a question about the leak.
I'm dissappointed about that .

20. There was a question about the leak
Bush immediately said something to the effect of:

In order for you to get an answer to your question that you'll actually believe, you should ask the Justice Department.
(no comment from me on the absurdity of that statement)

He then went on to say that leaks are serious and he's against leaks, whether they're from the White House, or Pentagon, or Capitol Hill. Then he scooted right along to the next question.

22. There was a good question on it....
the reporter quoted some critics saying that the White House could find the leaker in less than an hour and then asked Bush if he would support (paraphrasing here) having everyone sign an affidavit saying they weren't the leaker. Bush did the yada, professionals, yada, professionals, response.

for once they were asking questions without the love-fest.

They seemed very serious about their questions and annoyed with bush.

I think it was 87% of Republicans are also. Hell Saddam was elected with 100% of the vote. How could those people possibly have been mistreated? 31% of Democrats are Proud of Bush* :wtf: kind of society do we actually live in?

24. The kind of society
where Repubicans will lie and say they're Democrats when a pollster calls. That's the only explanation I can come up with that makes any sense.
