Our first look at the * campaign: "The world is more peaceful"
Edited on Tue Oct-28-03 12:38 PM by Brotherjohn
As John Stewart would say: "Whaaaahh?!?"

Bush said "the world is more peaceful... under my leadership" in his press conference today. (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A29127-2003Oct28.html)

Well, let's analyze that. We are at WAR on at least two major fronts and losing American troops on a daily basis. There has been talk of re-instating the draft. Thousands upon thousands in Muslim nations which we have invaded are dead. India and Pakistan have tossed nuclear threats across their border, and Israel has become even more agressive, each invoking the "Bush Doctrine" as justification. The Mid-East is in tatters, and terrorism is increasing. Iran and North Korea are ratcheting up their nuclear programs, and the latter has all but declared war on us.

I think even Joe Sixpack can see that the world is not more peaceful today. Go ahead and run on that campaign slogan, George. Go ahead.

3. Do The Words "More Peaceful" Sound Idiotic To You Too... Or Is It Just-Me?
Either the world is peaceful or it's not, I figure. Are there degrees of peace?

8. This phrase may have the same effect as "Bring 'em on."
The terraists who hate our freedoms will be out in full force to prove him wrong. Just another dangerous taunt by a menacing asshole.
