bush* : "Iraq's a dangerous place, Bill" and other insights from
Edited on Tue Oct-28-03 02:13 PM by amen1234
the pResident, my notes from today's WH rose garden press conference...(replayed on C-span)

on Iraq...

"Iraq wants us to leave, and we're not leaving"

"I believe the Iraqi people are appreciative of the reconstruction effort"

"The people in Iraq appreciate what's going on in their country."

"Condi unsticks things that get stuck. She's an 'un-sticker'"

"we are helping rebuild a society"

question: do you think the aid agencies will leave Iraq in light of the recent bombings....
bush*: 'hope not.

"Americans think terrorists are evil people."

on Israel/Palestine issues

"Unfortunately, he is no longer in power. He was eased out of power."
...so there's nothing bush* can do about the 'road map' right now...

"I have SAID 'the fence is a problem.'"

"The long-suffering Palistinean people need leadership"

"Military action is a last resort for us."

"This nation is very reluctant to use force."

2. How about "That's a Trick Question," and "For You Financial Types" said to
reporters. "That's a trick question and I won't answer it!... was in reply to a female reporter. I was in my car and almost rear ended another car hearing that.

This man is so disgusting! ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

3. and you left out the scariest one of all
"people are already being put in place"to ensure his "re"-election in'04 hmmmm just like Katherine Harris was"put in place"down here in Florida. To me that was the most troubling of all his remarks this morning.while we're laughing at all his missteps in what he says(he's very good at playing dumb)he's as sly as a fox as he's sticking us in the backs with his dagger-smiling

8. Yes, I was thinking about Diebold
and the CEO of Diebold, the guy who is one of Bush's "rangers!"

9. He said that! I must have missed it because I was listening in car during
part of the speech. If he said that, we should remember that Mark Crispin Miller warned us to listen carefully to what he says between his mis-speaks.

Jeeze, we know for sure that BBV is going to do it, then. :-( Either that or another LIOP!

4. I wonder what it feels like, you know,
to almost be a concert pianist, speak Russian, have a PhD, resume listing accomplishments such as former provost of a university, and then have this Chimp in need of remedial presidency call you an "un-sticker". I am no fan of Condi the Liar, but this has got to get on her nerves. I wonder if she'll ever break down and tell his royal ass to shut up.

11. some other favorites...
"They commit suicide acts against innocent people and then expect people to say, "Well, gosh, we better not try to fight you anymore."

"It's the same mentality, by the way, that attacked us in -- on September the 11th, 2001. "We'll just destroy innocent life and watch the great United States and their friends and allies, you know, crater in the face of hardship." It's the exact same mentality."

And as you notice yesterday, one fellow tried to -- was done in as he tried to conduct a suicide mission. In other words, an Iraqi policeman did their job.

AN IRAQI POLICEMAN DID THEIR JOB?

oh, I'm proud to be a Muricin, where at least I know mah President is brain-free...

15. Dumbya has always had trouble with verb agreement.
He is truly in need of remedial grammar and speech. I wonder how he managed to get an MBA with skills like that (maybe he paid someone to do his homework and term papers).

(sadly, they left out all the ummm, ummm, ummm, and ah, ah, ah, ah
they're really proud of the pResident, one would think they'd want to avoid embarrassment and just leave this press conference off the WH web site....)

Let's see -- Terry. Then you, Stretch.

Q Thank you, sir. Mr. President, your policies on the Middle East seem, so far, to have produced pretty meager results as the violence between Israelis and Palestinians --

THE PRESIDENT: Major or meager?

Q Meager.

THE PRESIDENT: Oh, okay.

Q Meager.

THE PRESIDENT: Meager.
