Fox News, "reporters" get dissed
What Ailes reporters

Roger Ailes was said to be unhappy last week that his Fox News was the only major network that did not participate in the documentary, "Journalists: Killed in the Line of Duty."

Tom Brokaw, Peter Jennings, Dan Rather, Anderson Cooper, Christiane Amanpour, Walter Cronkite and other major anchors and correspondents narrated segments of the film, which tells the story of reporters like Daniel Pearl, David Bloom, and Reuters' Taras Protsyuk, who was killed by a U.S. tank shell in Baghdad.

Ailes' spokesman Robert Zimmerman denied that the news director was upset. "He was asked to participate and declined," Zimmerman said.

Camera Planet CEO Steven Rosenbaum directed the film, to air on Trio Nov. 25. He was inspired after attending a Committee to Protect Journalists dinner and hearing of reporters tortured and killed for their work. "If anybody threatened my life or my children's life, I might go sell shoes," Rosenbaum said.

2. Just because fake news is 24 hours
doesn't make it any less fake. There was no reaosn for a fox to be involved.

3. why would be be unhappy?
This was a documentary about reporters. Now if they had been doing a documentary about prostitution and left fox out...well that would have been something he could have a legitimate beef with.

7. Like what your Mom said - "There are more chemicals . . . "
Mind if I use it for a protest sign? I'll, of course, credit your Mom.

6. Why do people call it "Faux News"?
Seriously, I usually just look at cnn.com for news, but the times I've gone to foxnews.com it's the same as everywhere else's. Just reusing AP stories and such. I think their site kind of sucks because it lacks the depth of cnn.com. Supposedly Fox has hotter anchors, but I don't really watch TV other than the History Channel and Southpark anyway...

13. Define "Hotter"
Edited on Tue Oct-28-03 10:14 PM by BlackVelvetElvis
Male or female? Who in particular (just curious)?
I wonder if they have a formula to define "hottie" when they interview talent?
You know they do.
Infortainment anyone? Would anyone classify Cronkite as a hottie?
News isn't news anymore; it's a product.

15. Well, if your barometer is "hotter anchors", I'm not really sure you
belong in an area where people are thinking. SHUT your damn TeeVee off!

8. I'm glad to see FAUX treated for what they are: tabloid media
they are not credible, and they shouldn't be treated as such by true journalists.

11. Wait, when he says this, does it mean what I think it means?
his Fox News was the only major network that did not participate in the documentary, "Journalists: Killed in the Line of Duty."

Is he upset that none of his people were killed in the line of duty? Or, if they were, that they didn't rank as "journalists"???

16. The only "duty" Faux news knows or is capable of is
kissing the WH ass. Could you see Tony Snow or Brit Hume sitting next to Brokaw, Jennings, Rather, Amanpour, and Cronkite? They would have ruined the show!
