Cheney's hawk's hi-jacking policy?
http://www.smh.com.au/articles/2003/10/29/1067233251576.html

A former Pentagon officer turned whistleblower says a group of hawks in the Bush Administration, including the Vice-President, Dick Cheney, is running a shadow foreign policy, contravening Washington's official line.

"What these people are doing now makes Iran-Contra look like amateur hour. . . it's worse than Iran-Contra, worse than what happened in Vietnam," said Karen Kwiatkowski, a former air force lieutenant-colonel.

1. It's dated 30/10/03, but it's.....
......old news.

Bush's PNAC appointees (Cheney, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, Perle, Feith etc.) did a cut & paste of PNAC's 2000 security document and presented it as the 2001 US Security policy, with enormous foreign policy implications.

Rumsfeld and his Pentagon mates have been dictating US foreign policy from day 1 of this Administration.

Iraq and Bush's Axis of evil, the vilification of the UN, the undermining of the European alliance and the huge increase in defence spending (including the resurrection of Star Wars) are all in accordance with PNAC 'guidelines'.
