right-wingers are. How convenient that these holier-than-thou types
seem to have a selective memory when it comes to Ronnie and Nancy.

After all.....

The Reagans had what used to be referred to as a "shotgun" wedding.

Nancy took astrology seriously.

They have both at times been estranged from their children. I recall the press mentioning back in the 80's that Reagan had never
met his then three-year-old grandson.

I remember when their son Ron announced he was studying ballet, they felt compelled to issue a statement that they believed he was "all man."

I don't know what's in the movie and I won't watch because I wouldn't waste my time on the Reagans. But I know the network is digging for ratings gold and the details of Iran-Contra would end up on the cutting room floor anyway.

Do I care about any of this stuff? No. But if CBS wants to do a warts and all bio that's fine with me. The biopic the repukes have in mind would be ludicrous -- the Reagans walking around with halos over their heads.

I think it was called Kroftt's Puppets, or some such thing. But the Nancy puppet was swooning for Ronnie one episode and reminiscing about their past.

"I remember the night you told me you loved me," she sighed. "You swept me into your arms, gazed deeply into my eyes, and shouted, 'Whatta ya mean, the rabbit died!'"


No one thought to protest in those days.
