Dean to score HUGE endorsment from SEIU, largest AFL-CIO union
This will effectively ensure that no one gets the overall AFL-CIO endorsement. It's a big pickup for Dean.

NOTE: I am not a Dean guy, but this basically means that he his people are getting VERY skillful at swaying labor to their side. Very bad news for Gephardt.

2. The train wreck appears to be on course
It seems Dean is now convincing many he is the inevitable nominee, and many seem convinced he can win the general. Kerry has 3 months left to persuade otherwise.

3. Yeah, basically
If Kerry can't win New Hampshire then he's done for.

Personally, I think Gephardt wins Iowa, Dean wins NH, and Edwards wins big the next week (A lot of southern states). It then becomes a three-man horserace going into Super Tuesday.

5. Do you have a link for this claim? ABC's the Note today implies othewise.
SEIU's Sara Howard tells The Note to be cautious about believing the hype.

"It's hardly news that there's a lot of passion for Dean among SEIU members," says Howard. "And, as Stern makes abundantly clear, the decision whether to endorse at all won't be made until the Executive Board comes together on November 6."

More outward signs the deal is not yet done:

The Note has learned Andy Stern and SEIU officers will meet with General Clark this afternoon in Washington.

7. IF Dean Gets the SEIU Endorsement
I think I'd have to admit that he's the front-runner.

Which would actually be fine by me, I would kind of prefer Clark to be in the "up-and-coming underdog outsider" role at this particular stage in the campaign and calendar.
