Partisan sniping
I was out getting lunch and heard whoever the asshole is on Rush's show talking about the fires.
Saying Davis held back on the tanker planes, and when he did use them, he used them in counties where his recall didn't pass, and didn't use them in counties where he was voted out.

First off, who knows anymore something like is true. Polarization will make people see boogeymen everywhere they look. Besides, it really doesn't matter in this case.

My thinking is that, when one of the good guys wins next year, will it really make a difference? People will be actively working against each other by that time. Will that manifest itself in the body politic from here on out? Will sniping and finger pointing keep anything at all from getting done?

1. why rush
why are you listening to rush anyway. thats why they say he has 20 million listeners. because we keep showing up to hear what outrageous things he has to say. If we'd stop listening out of sheer curiosity maybe his number would be so inflated

2. Tanker planes were used when the winds permitted
Edited on Thu Oct-30-03 01:17 PM by nothingshocksmeanymo
Duncan Hunter (R)-ALPINE started this because the little crybaby's house burned down. The fact is the planes were used as soon as weather permitted and military planes could not be used sooner because there is a FEDERAL LAW requiring that private contractors be used first.

Davis was on CNN last night and this question was posed to Davis and Republican Jim Brulte answered in the affirmative.

This is what happens when PRIVATISATION trumps public interest.

3. I'm so tired of hearing the word "partisan"
in any context. I just hear the word, my ears shut off. Like, say... "Carrot-top" or "Kondracke"

4. all good and well
But what about the point of the post?
When things finally change for the good in politics, will people be so polarized on one side or the other, that it will be nothing attempts to take power back form the other side.

The Rush thing was merely a point of referrence. You know, where one forms one's own thoughts from a starting point instead of merely relying on the writings or ideas of others. Had I not had the radio on in the car, chances are, I would have read or heard something today that would be nothing more than a blaming of the other side.

My thinking on this is such. OK, you expose the fraud for what it is. But what about the people who were duped? what are they to think? We need a uniter. See? It's rather like the dog that always chases cars down the street. What happens when a car finally stops one day? The dog has no idea what to do with the damn thing.
