It's Raining in San Diego! Woo Hooo!

I'm downtown, and we are getting a good light rain right now. This is the first rain I've seen here since last April, I think. It looks like the rain is moving inland toward the mountains and fires. I hope! The sky is very dark that way, but it's hard to tell if it's smoke or rainy clouds.

I'm in Carlsbad and a HUGE bank opf storm clouds just passed overhead and it looksl ike they are heading east. They are VERY black and look like they are going to burst over the fire!

Looks like the Gods are FINALLY having pity on us!

ON EDIT: The storm isn't breaking here! It looks like it might dump all over the paradise fire here!

4. I think the holocaust is almost over.

It has cooled down considerably here on the Central Coast and the fog has come back from the ocean. I hope we get some rain too. We haven't seen any since February.

5. Some Normal Weather

Finally some normal weather. A little drizzle. Tuesday afternoon it was eerie and very dark, perhaps a combination of smoke and the clouds which came in that day. Yesterday (Wednesday) it finally looked somewhat normal.

I am in Mira Mesa, on the other side of the freeway from Scripps Ranch. I think a house my sister and brother-in-law and their family used to live in was destroyed in the fire. I know a number of houses in that immediate area were destroyed.
