NJ Doctors, Insurance Tip the Balance to Republican? |
|
Edited on Thu Oct-30-03 06:04 PM by lostnfound
I heard on NPR this morning a story about New Jersey doctors organizing and going door-to-door with lists of undecided voters to encourage them to vote Repub in their state elections to shift it from a Democratic legislature to a Republican one. Apparently it's already pretty close. The reason they are doing this is because they feel pushed to the limit with high insurance premiums. "Next" they said "they would go after the medical insurance companies to increase the amount that they are reimbursed."
That's just great. Another perverse subfaction getting organized to support the right, along with the fundies and the neocons and the rich and the patriotic-fervor types. And this is a group with money and status and smarts..
I do not understand how they can be sure that the insurance company savings due to liability caps would be passed on to them. But this is a lose-lose for the rest of us. Doctors can be pretty persuasive to the general public.

1. To hell with these "doctors".......... |

NJ legislature set up a taxpayer funded program to help doctors with their malpractice insurance. Apparantly not goog enough for these hard-on-their-luck schmucks.
How about policing your ranks and weeding out the repeat offenders who are responsible for your malpractice premiums?
Instead, we the victims of your "expertise" in cutting off the wrong limb, breast or lung should vote against our own best interest in putting more republican nazis in power......No deal.
