In your finest hour as Governor, you said “You cannot lead with a finger to the wind and an ear to the ground. It is an undignified position.” Only now, as you teeter with your hindquarters in the air, do I fully understand how right you were.

22. I remember Lester Maddox when

He had this restaurant in Atlanta. It was in late 1963 and the civil rights laws stated he had to allow blacks to eat at the restaurant. Lester passed out baseball bats to keep the blacks out. This was his way to preserve his life as he knew it and to get publicity, I might add.

Later Lester became governor, I guess on this platform. He was just a political hack and unable or unwilling to see the future. He was unable to see people as they are. Lester could only see people as he wanted them to be. To preserve his concept of how the world worked.

Living in Georgia, it is my home, I am ashamed by Zell Miller.

Zell Miller is just plain trash in my opinion, just like Lester.

You can see echos of the very same thinking in the PNAC and neo-con agenda. A refusal to see the future, trying keep doing life the way it has been. These people will be swept away.

We cannot continue to do business as we have always done. We are killing the world. The world has so much poverty and pain, and our leaders continue to serve up an agenda of domination, more death and pain. These people are part of our past.

Zell has betrayed his own people. At least Lester never betrayed his own. Zell is like Lester in his blindness, but even less than Lester in that he cannot even be true to who he claimed as his own. Zell should have realized his own are the people, all the people, not just the influential. Zell is NOT a democrat. Dump the guy to the party he really belongs in.

He is not one of us. Zell is not part of the future, he is part of the crummy past. The Democrats are the future.

I think it is time to flush the toilet.
