Anyone know about the FEMA rider snuck into $87Bn bill?
Watching C-SPAN last night I heard something about a FEMA allotment of $500mn (?) that is somehow linked to declaring martial law in Amerikaland.

Congress was not allowed to read its contents. Had to go through.

This is disturbing to me.

Anyone?

1. Jokerman, when you say Amerikaland are you meaning Iraq?
I prefer to call Iraq, "Imperial Freedomstan", myself.

But do you mean that this is for martial law here at home in the Empire?!?

Got a link?

4. Amerikaland is
what I call the reformed America that we're apparently living in now with restricted media, an unofficial party religion, and the coming "terrorization" of dissent.

Amerikaland is not America.

6. That wouldn't surprise me
This misadministration is going to bail california out of its mess to make Arnie look good. Plus, it looks like Arnie is going to help out Enron, one of Chimpy's favorite corps. It is more cronyism because MY Gov. (Illinois) would NEVER get a meeting with Dick (head) Cheney to help our struggling state (thanks to Ryan). This whole scenario sucks bad. California would've gotten money regardless of the fires.

7. The point was made
by representative Lee (congressional black caucus) that the fires are being used to encourage the FEMA allotment but in fact the language has nothing to do with the fires. The language of the rider was classified because it deals with the declaration of martial law.

No link. Sorry.

11. Let me understand this
our so called Congress voted for the $87 bil with a rider in it regarding $500M for FEMA and were NOT allowed to read it? What the hell? Who is voting for this stuff?

Since the selection of the chimp by the Supremes, I have always thought that by election '04, martial law would be declared in this country so that elections could NOT BE HELD>

10. Bushs' appontment of Joe "Shultz" Allbaugh to FEMA was suspect
http://bushspeaks.com/home.asp?did=10

I wondered at the time why he put one of his most trusted buddies, Joe Allbaugh, in charge of FEMA. I think they've been planning on needing concentration camps from day one. The appointment was way early in the Bush administration.

http://www.fema.gov/about/allbaugh/

"In addition, Mr. Allbaugh has instituted an agency-wide reorganization, developed a six-year strategic plan to tackle the Agency's emerging challenges, and has worked to improve federal training and assistance for America's first responders. He is now also working closely with Congress and the White House Office of Homeland Security to affect the transfer of FEMA into the proposed new Department of Homeland Security."

One wonders what this reorg is all about and why it's not even made the tiniest blip on the corponews channels up to now.
