An easy test to determine the electability of "your" candidate..
Simply observe the media reports and comments on the different candidates. If they think you don't have a chance, they tend to ignore you. If they call you a "socialist" or say you are from "a small state" or somehow you don't have the "stature" to take on the "giant" in the WH, then they are afraid of you. They must attack and minimize your chances.

The media does it at the behest of the Repub spin machine. This is just the way it works. I have no idea when it started or how it might have evolved to the way the media reports today, but there can be little doubt to their tactics.

With the latest comments by General Clark about responsibility for the WTC attacks, we might expect him to be attacked vociferously in the next few days. Because they are scared to death of his latest message. That being, that the person at the top has to take responsibility for that which happens on his watch and if something goes wrong, there is an open and complete investigation to find out why....
