Jessica Lynch"My weapon jammed" - Defective Equipment

She has said over and over, while describing her experience being attacked, "my weapon jammed". She said all their weapons jammed. Quite an indictment of the weapons issued to these soldiers!

if sand gets into the barrel, that's it.

They will jam repeatedly.

the manufacturer?

They knew these weapons would be used in desert conditions. They should have designed them with that problem in mind.

They said that the machine gun used to defend Lynch's unit also jammed.
