Someone asked for suggestions for a banner to greet George W. Bush in London, on The Guardian's website at
http://talk.guardian.co.uk/WebX?50@@.685eb74b Unfortunately, the thread is so long and congested, I'm not sure how useful it is.
I think one of the most potent would be a U.S. flag with the blue, star-studded canton replaced by a swastika. They should have HUNDREDS of swastikas and stripes flags. Another possibility is Texas' state flag, with a white swastika replacing the star.
Another good idea would be "E pluribus unum." That was the United States' national motto before the religious kooks shoved "In God We Trust" down our throats.
I'd love to see some Jail4Bush.org posters, which would publicize my website (I apologize for my selfishness) and move beyond the insipid "Impeach Bush" chants at the same time. Bush obviously deserves far more than impeachment.
Another really effective design would be a solid black banner with the word "oil" in white letters, perhaps with a dollar sign or drops of blood.
Banners promoting Linux, perhaps with the Penguin logo, would be a slap at both Microsoft and corporate greed in general.
I hope they burn a few flags, too.
