Protesting Michael Moore's new movie

Michael Moore's new movie, Farenheit911, is already drawing the ire of the Conservative movement. Jon Alveraz, founder of "Patriotic Americans Boycotting Anti American Hollywood," has made his intentions plain. "a campaign to inform the American public of the true nature of this film has begun. Michael Moore, the film's controversial director, is using the victims of 9/11 for what will surely amount to a political assassination piece. This should bring about a public outcry so loud, a backlash so severe; no theatre chain should be willing to carry it. That will be the ultimate goal of this campaign. If a sense of decency and respect for the subject matter cannot convince them, then a boycott of their establishment might convince them otherwise.

Obviously Alveraz's goal is to get Michael Moores money to dry up and to scare off any potential distributars. I am a bad speller.

Anyway what can one do now to show support for Michael Moores right to put out this movie, and our right as Americans to go see it?

memo to FReepers: they don't show the films you like at the local Landmark or art house cinema. Your boycott is meaningless because you don't patronize these theatres anyways!! Effing morans!! Man, I can't wait for this to be released!

maybe if we're lucky, faux will sue too. The more controversy surrounding this movie, the more people will watch it. Michael Moore did so well with Bowling For Columbine that distributors would be stupid to be pressured into not distributing Farenheit911...it's all about making money for them and this one is going to sell very well both nationally and internationally.

10. They won against CBS/The Reagans, so they think they are on a roll

These are the same people who pitched a collective fit when Mel Gibson had trouble finding a distributor for "The Passion", his upcoming Jesus movie. They defend this movie that none of them have yet seen, as they should, free speech applies to Mel as much as it does Michael Moore.
MM's movies only show at "art theaters" anyways, the same places most likely to play Mel's movie. So, are they going to boycott the theaters and try to put them out of business? Then who's going to show "The Passion"? Idiots.

They probably think/know they are going to fail. Unless they can get enough of a protest right now to stop funding, Moores film will be made and it will be distributed. But they haven't got a hope of doing that. Truthfully, Alveraz's over the top antics are likely to help Moore (as many have pointed out)

It did wonders for The Dixie Chicks. Liberals need to unite on this and make sure we all go see it and tell everyone we know to go see it. When it comes out on DVD...BUY IT! 7. I'm sure the families of the victims of 9/11

who are pissed off at the bush admin for stonewalling the 9/11 commission and who are suing the Saudi Royal family over their involvement in 9/11 would disagree with this twerp. That's the same Saudi Royal Family that has James Baker's law firm Baker/Botts defending them. Defending the Saudi's against a suit brought by the family's of the victims of 9/11. Oh yeah, I'm sure those families who have been trying for years to get these questions answered and out in the light of day will be real upset that somebody is finally helping them out. They're probably lining up to defend Moore right now.

12. They might actually

intimidate the theater chains into not showing it, or only in a few theaters. I know "Bowling For Columbine" was consistently shown in the smallest theater at one and only one multiplex in this area (of about 8 mulitplexes here in that chain) even though it was selling out regularly. Meanwhile, showings of other "mainstream" movies were in mostly empty venues -- much larger theaters -- but did management swap out the movie locations? No.
