What if JFK were shot tomorrow?

I've been imagining what things would be like if JFK were assassinated tomorrow, in the present media environment, with color TV, the Internet, DU, etc.

About 12:36 CT: Kennedy shot in Dallas in front of a live local TV audience in Dallas. Within a couple minutes, the cable news channels (CNN, MSNBC, Fox News) and regular networks (ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox) break in to cover the story. They show the bloody footage of when JFK was blown in the head by a shot.

Around 12:45 CT: LBN, GD, and the Lounge are loaded with posts saying something like, "BREAKING - CNN - KENNEDY SHOT"

1:10 CT or so: News breaks that JFK died at 1:00 CT. DU spirals into complete anarchy with posts saying, "The GOP Killed Kennedy," "Communists killed Kennedy," "Johnson killed Kennedy," etc. Meanwhile, cheers erupt at Free Republic.

8. I've wondered along those lines too.

If we had the media coverage then we have now it could never have been pulled off the way it was. I suppose though, another way would have been found. Or maybe they would have stuck to character assasination like they did with Clinton.
