Bush Visit to Baghdad Sets Rotation Record of Two Hours
Edited on Fri Nov-28-03 10:16 AM by The Lone Liberal
Bush maintained his record of limiting his exposure to any personal danger with a two-hour mad dash through Baghdad. It was less of a morale raiser for the troops and more of a fraternity stunt on the order of a "panty raid" for Bush’s re-election. The question that is now raised is; will Bush use his “time-in-country” as the criteria for the our boys in uniform. Let’s see “two hours” vs. “12 months?” “Oh, guess I will take the two hours, Sarge!”

1. Exactly
He should have at least stayed overnight and visited more places. That wasn't "visiting the troops" that was campaign op ad a la Rove.

3. This has Karl Rove's fingerprints all over it.
I'm surprised he didn't try to do a little fundraising at yesterday's campaign appearance.

4. Not To Be Shamed Nor Upstaged By An Uppity Senator Clinton....
Edited on Fri Nov-28-03 10:46 AM by ElsewheresDaughter
who anounsed to the media last week that she and another democratic senator were flying to Iraq to spend Thanksgiving with the troops. president bush springs into "top secert" action and goes to Bagdad to spend Thanksgiving dinner with the troops. Even the First Lady, his daughters and his parents didn't know he was going to Bagdad as they waited at the table for goerge to carve the turkey. It was such a top secert plan that even Mr Card and the president's sercert service agents were shaken up by his absence at the Crawford celebration feast.

what a farse :eyes:

5. Shoveling down mess hall chow that fast was dangerous.
With only two hours to get any all that re-election campaigning He must has looked like a eating machine when he ate with the troops.
The only thing he had to fear was “gas !“

Hope Air Force One was equipped with Nexium.

9. How the hell did they cook a turkey and potatoes that quickly?
Edited on Fri Nov-28-03 12:20 PM by htuttle
Did they cater it from the US? Did they grab some other soldiers' turkey once they landed?

It takes hours to cook a turkey. There's no way they cooked it after they landed.
