Wes Clark nominated on VH1 but is beat out by Hillary Duff
Seriiously! I am watching the VH1 "Big in '03" awards and Gen Clark was nominated for the Breakout of the Year along with 50 Cent, Kim Jong IL, Nemo and Hillary Duff, but Duff won.

Before that the Dixie Chicks won Quote of the Year for slamming Bush. . .interesting, interesting show.

1. Okay
a cute blonde girl (with a lot of talent and brains) beats out Wes Clark AND Kim Jong Il.

What else could you expect?

This isn't Bizarro world after all!

All power to the other Hillary!

3. Actually the award was "Made it Big in '03"
Edited on Sun Nov-30-03 10:01 PM by wndycty
I never expected him to win but this is quasi important because it creates awareness of him in the pop culture circles. They ran a typical 30 second nominee reel, which in essence is a free campaign ad. No other candidate was put in front of this public.

Oh, wait.

6. It would be too weird if Clark won
They needed to have an entertainer win. But it's great that he was nominated. Lot of voters watch these kind of shows, and their interest might have be piqued.

7. And thats all that matters. . .
. . .the show was pre taped.

DL Hughley just dissed Bush. . .he came out in a flight suit with a banner that read "ooops."

11. Clearly, VH1 is run by Republicans
So of course, they selected their main undercover operative, Wes Clark! Right?

17. The dixie chicks deserved their win
It's cool how Clark didn't get the award, but did win the nomination. One nomination down, one to go. :)

19. P. Diddy threw a tantrum like a 2 year old
http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/artsentertainment/2001803003_artsbrief01.html

So they gave him a phoney baloney award.

I love the irony in that, because if Biggie didn't get blown away, Puffy would not be where he is.
