1. If your not being watched you're not doing it right
and you're on ther wrong side.

No.

Actually I would have to say the Bush crime family have more to fear from our own intelligence and fbi and homeland security personnel now.

Bush has been outing them for political reasons, ignoring and neglecting them and their concerns and BLAMING them for Bush's own miserable intelligence andf military and strategic failures.

They probably REALLY are watching the Bushes a lot closer than they are watching US these days.

They better be, There is more terror and treason in the white house than at a 1000 antiwar rallies

3. Hey click on the story
Edited on Mon Dec-01-03 12:59 AM by proud patriot
The first paragraph:

SACRAMENTO -- Federal authorities may now have broad powers under the USA Patriot Act to monitor the public in its fight against terrorism, but guidelines distributed last month by the California attorney general's office contradict the surveillance methods used by federal agencies -- and advise local police to observe stricter state limits when it comes to spying on the public.
(snip)

This may actually be a first step in California refusing
to enfornce the patriot act ...Holy Cow !

4. There are numerous conflicts
California State Constitution prohibits certain aspects, but who is gonna enforce that, the governator?
Lockyer's guidelines were a bit late and probably rather reticent.
The reality is far more serious, grim and oppresive than citizens are willing to realize. Understandably.

5. sometimes we Californians get it right
maybe not with our governors, but hey

What I find so bizarre is that law enforcement would waste time and manpower trying to infiltrate PEACE organizations!

Peace organizations! That's like trying to infiltrate anti-crime organizations! We're trying to get peace! We're trying to stop the greatest crime of all! And they think it's suspect!

It's just so fucking weird

6. intimidation is not an accidental byproduct
this is your tax dollars stomping on your constitution and your bill of rights. 1984 all over again. They have the technology and they are using it. Think very carefully who you would trust as a candidate, confidant or spokesperson.
