MAJOR good sign tonight for our chances in 2004!!!
I picked up a copy of Charisma magazine tonight. Charisma is a Christian magazine that caters to "full gospel," charismatic churches. (My church is not quite that, but is similar. I was reading a friend's copy at an after-church Bible study.)

Well, guess what??? They ran a puff piece on W a couple of issues ago, and the Letters to the Editor (LTTE) were six to one AGAINST Bush!! The letter writers called him things like "the epitome of evil," and "a liar through and through."

This is sooooo awesome, y'all! The readers of Charisma magazine are mostly Southern Christians -- fairly conservative types -- and they're fed up with him, too! Also, for the spread of LTTE they published to be 6-1 against him, imagine what the spread they actually received must have been! WOW!!

I tried to find the letters online, so as to link to them here, but evidently you must subscribe to the magazine to get login information to read it online. Oh, well. Hope this recounting does some good for morale around here!!!

1. But, W believes in the "scared" institution of marriage...
and those horny, Satan-worshipping Democrats want to have men marry men and women marry women!

2. That is encouraging
A letter to their editor informing them of the PNAC influence could be useful, as well.

5. Great news! What else did they say?

Did they talk about WHY they see him as evil (so others who are less astute may catch on?)

7. can you be more specifc about what Bush did which bothers them?
Also, the magazine may have wanted to print mostly anti-Bush letters after running a pro-Bush article for balance.

It doesn't mean that most of their readers are anti-Bush.

8. Encouraging that there's dissent, but remember...
...it seems that generally magazines print letters to the editor that disagree with their view more often than ones that agree. This could be because maybe an opposing letter is more likely to get written in the first place, or they figure that their opinion already appeared and doesn't really need more space.
