Thanksgiving in NH: With Dean, Kerry, Clark and Edwards Supporters.....

So I went home for Thanksgiving...my dad supports Kerry, my brother Dean, my sister Edwards and my mom and I are for Clark. It is actually pretty exciting to have a discussion - we agree on one thing -- ABB!

Each of us has worked for these candidates - door to door, contributions, rallies etc.

I asked my brother, sister and father the same question -- how is your candidate going to beat Bush - what is the profile of your candidate that beats Bush. No one really answered me, but the general tone from each of them was very interesting, alot like what I see on DU ---

1. Kerry supporter -- I gave up on Kerry when he bashed Clark last weekend and said that he (Kerry) had more combat experience than Clark. Terrible.

2. Dean supporter -- so, are you going to accept Dean as the nominee? Because Dean will be the nominee - face it.

3. Edwards supporter -- I know for a fact that his poll numbers are much better than what the public polls are saying. He is putting out a 60 page book with his positions, and people are so impressed with his positions and the fact he has a book.

4. Clark supporter -- Wesley Clark is the guy, he is coming on strong, just wait. Commercial is so good.

1. Sounds like you have your personal, private DU
That must have been one fun discussion :) Cool family.

And seems like DU is at least somewhat representative of the offline world.

2. Just FYI...Kerry was answering Matthews question and it was Matthews who
differentiated field experience and management experience in his question. Kerry never attacked Clark but did state the differences in their legislative experience. Kerry and Clark happen to be pretty good friends and go back a long ways. In fact, if you notice, Clark has been aligning almost all his policy positions with Kerry. I don't think that's a coincidence.
