Saddam's nephew calls Iraq the new Afghanistan!
Didn't hear this on any of the "news" networks"

"Saddam's nephew calls invasion a disaster and warns of civil war - "Every day there are explosions. People are killed. This didn't happen before. I don't say that the government was made up of angels, but there was infrastructure, security and food," he told the Zürich-based newspaper Blick. - 'Before the US occupation Iraq was a land without terrorism. It's now the new Afghanistan.' As a result of the chaos, al-Qaida had found a new safe haven."

The full story is under "war" category at http://www.tvnewslies.org/html/news.html

Also...just over the wire. Another American soldier died in Iraq (12/1)
But...never mind, we're opening the schools we bombed out. Progress is wonderful

2. Hasn't he read the Repugs' statements? Iraq is a cockroach
motel. The USA WANTED Al Qaida to go to Iraq. At least that is what they have said. They want the terrorists to kill Iraqis, who had nothing to do with 9/11, so that we can keep the terrorits there instead of having them come to the USA.
Of course, these statements are so completely off the mark, and so horrifying in their dismissal of other people's lives that they have always made me sick to my stomach.

4. RE: "new Afghanistan"
The Russians went broke over an endless war in Afghanistan! They lost the war and their control of eastern Europe! The Ruskies spent most of their wealth on weapons and wars of conquest!(sound like anyone we know?)

Iraq may well be Bushco's Afghanistan! We are losing soldiers, tanks and aircraft just like the Russians did in their bid to grab Afghanistan! The Russians wanted to control Afghanistan so they could export the oil and gas from the southern parts of the USSR via Afghanistan's pipelines!(sound Like Anyone You Know?)
