The paper editor also emailed me this...

Interestingly, I have been thinking some very similar thoughts lately about the liberal origins of this country.

Several months ago my husband wrote a letter to the editor and was contacted by phone and by mail by several wonderful, sympathetic people. The only negative response was from someone who already knew him.

It's so important we all speak out, and not just here where we're all in the choir.
