Buchanan......
tore Bush a new asshole on C-SPAN and many other true conservatives have as well. They are pissed that Bush is spending like a drunken sailor.
If they continue to speak out, Bush is dead meat.:kick:

1. And he praised Kucinich! as the only Democrat that 'gets' job loss issues
Bizarre. NEVER in my wildest nightmares could I have imagined that I would be GLAD to hear what he has to say on TV.

3. Really?
Pat Buchanan has defended Dennis Kucinich. Dennis Kucinich. Dennis fucking Kucinich.

I need to lie down. The usual "bizarro world" comment doesn't even begin to summarize that one.

5. I find that scenario much more plausible
To be honest, Buchanan has on occasion said things that I have agreed with --- not often, but it's happened. For example during the 2000 election when he said of the 3000 votes he had gotten in the Miami-Palm Beach county. His exact words were "Those aren't my votes." And I agreed with him. So it's happened before.

Buchanan is an idealogue first and foremost, so I'm sure he's none too happy to see his precious right wing get turned into the party of utter fiscal irresponsibility.

I caught a very brief snippet of Meet the Press yesterday and Tim Russert had an entire right-wing panel, all of whom seemed pretty upset about the Bush administration's complete lack of ability to rein in deficit spending. I don't know if this will really translate into anything positive for us, but any time the right is mad at Bush is a good time to be alive.

6. Why is this surprising??? Pat has...
...always been a jobs protection guy. He was against NAFTA. He railed against the Wall Street bail out of Mexico in the early 90's.

This is not as exciting as all that and he still isn't going to vote for Dennis.

Can anyone say 'sterotype'?

I knew that you could...

It's the NAFTA thing. That's a major issue in Pat's book.

10. If it was just Nafta... he would just as easily mention Gep.
I find it very interesting indeed. But Buchanon has long been a bit of a gadfly among the party of his roots.

13. I think either he or Press did
mention Gephardt but Pat said Kucinich was the one who "really gets it" on the jobs issue. I wish they'd let them stay on longer than an hour -- it was great.

24. Actually, he did mention Gep. He said only one Dem "gets" the jobs issue
and "it's not Gephardt, it is Dennis Kucinich"

11. Sorry 'bout that...
...you can have the thunder.

It just irks me when someone like Buchanan says what they always say and people who have been told by somebody who knows somebody who has a trashcan nextdoor to someone who threw out his book because it was on the sidwalk says "I heard he supports Hitler'.

Then, people wonder why Dennis Kucinich gets dismissed as the guy who 'ruined an electric company or something or other'.

It's just not that hard to know the truth about people and their positions.

I expect much from my fellow humanoids!

17. Buchanon and Kucinich
are both very concerned about American jobs. It's on social issues that they take totaly different paths. I'm not surprised that real conservatives are bashing Bush. He's not a conservative he's a radical corporate fascist.

9. Of course - Democrats could beat Bush in a landslide ... IF
... and only IF ... they were to run on a job platform like Kucinich's - even the right wingers could be swayed if we had a strong populist message.

But that won't happen, because Democrats would rather lose than offend their precious multinational corporations.

15. I think many conservatives
like Buchanan are unhappy with shrub. No, I don't think they'll vote for the democratic nominee. But maybe they'll stay home on election night? Fingers crossed!

16. How to stop Bush NOW!
I am the "Bush-Nazi" journalist who broke the story of the Bush's family's 27 years of Nazi collaboration, from 1924-51, in The New Hampshire Gazette on October 10 (www.nhgazette.com). The story has now appeared on six continents via Associated Press and major newspapers, as well as more than 100 web sites.
As a result, I have been drafted to run as a Republican, head-on against Bush in the primaries, beginning in New Hampshire. I need help from Democrats and Independents to generate volunteers and contributions across party lines. My web site is www.johnbuchanan.org.
I am running as a working journalist, armed with facts and documentation of my war profiteering allegations against the sitting President. My sole goal is to topple Bush with the truth. I leave for New Hampshire next week.
Please help me get rid of this liar and dissembler, BEFORE next November. The plan is for me and my coming newspaper articles to trip him up so he can't recover.
Thanks, and please keep the faith.

19. Welcome, RepubChallenger
Edited on Mon Dec-01-03 05:21 PM by spooky3
As for Pat Buchanan, before anyone gets too enthusiastic about his comments, I also heard him say on the same CSpan show that there is a "liberal bias" in the media, that CBS and practically every other broadcaster was "liberal" and the usual RW talking points. Another speaker on the show pointed out what a myth that was, but Pat Buchanan continued in the same vein. I changed the station.

18. Buchanan will run
IF he has another book to sell. He's like Libertarian candidate Harry Browne; they both make a profit by running for President.
