Featured in the ads are former McCain suporters who now say that they support Lieberman and how wonderful he is.
Lieberman supporters: this is not a flame so relax.
My question is do you think that this is ad is effective in trying to enlist conservatives to vote for Joe and the democratic cause or do you think that this serves Joe's critics who say that he is a closet republican?
Since I am asking the question I'll be the first to respond. I think that inclusion is great, but I believe that this may backfire on Joe. I think that he is helping his critics and giving them plenty of ammo when he didn't need to. Maybe this ad is akin to Dean's southern/dixie flag comment.

1. Howard Dean took a lot of flak for courting Southerners who display |

the Confederate flag on their pickup trucks. I think Joe Lieberman courts Southerners who want to get their slaves back.

2. He is speaking 5 miles from my home and I am not going. |

He signed our rights away and I am not happy with this man. Just one statemen would be nice, in either party. Maybe congress will not let that type in?

if you think John McCain's supporters are prima facie progressive liberals.
If not I think this will help bury any chance of Lieberman getting the Democratic nod. As time goes by I'm starting to wonder if he's really running for Cheney's job in the next Bush term.
Of course, that's only my opinion. Your mileage may vary.
