"" US takes 'strong issue' with Latham's Bush comments
December 3, 2003 - 10:11AM

The United States said today it took "strong issue" with comments from Australia's newly elected Labor Party leader, Mark Latham.

Mr Latham has called US President George W Bush the "most incompetent and dangerous president in living memory".

US State Department deputy spokesman Adam Ereli said he had not seen the remarks but said he "would take strong issue with them"."""
*******************

Mark Latham has described out Prime Minister as an ar**licker for his support for George Bush.

Wonder how the Murdoch dominated press in Australia will treat him ?

3. This part of the United States
"The United States said today it took "strong issue" with comments from Australia's newly elected Labor Party leader, Mark Latham"

does not take 'strong issue' with Mark Latham's comments. I believe The Sydney Morning Herald, a generally excellent publication, has in this case made an incorrect generalization. ;)

8. Reagan had Poppy's hand up his ass.
Dubya has Cheney's. Yes, Cheney is less competent than Poppy.

5. HOw do I contact Mark Latham to thank him?
It's so weird to be a U.S. citizen living in America these days...the only times I hear my sentiments expressed by a public figure, they are invariably from another country.

7. Thanks for looking that up
I e-mailed him:

Mr. Latham

Regarding your statment on the Bush Presidency

Just thought it was important for you to hear from a US citizen that is glad you are a strong leader and honestly expressed your feelings on current US politics. We need more of this to help the cause over here!

Sincerely,

Jim XXXX

10. that's awesome. I'm definitely
in favor of contacting people when they have gone out on a limb to express my sentiments for me.

I agree also that you will hear dissenting opinions much more clearly from other nations. Thank goodness there are 2 oceans separating us and other countries, so they don't feel us breathing down their necks all the time.

11. We're all in this together
Thanks, I have never actively participated in politics until now. I voted in general elections but that was it. I have been really depressed about things and Gen. Clark has given me hope for the future of our country. I will be happy if any of the Dems kick these bastards out.
