When holy Joe drops out....... |
|
Who will benefit the most? Who will he endorse? (Don't say Bush, although I wouldn't be surprised......on second thought he may very well support chimpy....ewwwww)
Part two of this question: when Kuchinich drops who will get his supporters? Probably Dean is my take.
Where do the Unions go when Gephart goes belly up?
What if Clark bailed, where will his base go?

1. Joe is going to go for |
|
Bush if he drops out.
Kucinich is not going to drop out.
Gephardts crew will split with Clark and Edwards.
Clark's guy will go to Edwards or Dean.

2. No, Joe will loyally support the Dem nominee |
|
as he always have. He may be to the right of many of us on some issues but he will not pull a Zell Miller.
I think he will endorse Dick Gephardt.

OK Joe's supporters go to Gep or Kerry. If Clark drops then his supporters go to Edwars or Dean.

4. Joe's supporters aren't fanatics |
|
and I think they go to Clark. Lieberman supporters are a special breed. They would go to a centrist or percieved centrist. Clark's Jewish background also helps him pick up some of the religious crowd. I have seen some orthodox Jews in NY in Clark's camp. I think this would continue.

5. He wouldn't endorse Bush, If he did... |
|
... it would be over before it started (just think of the press stories?)
And he'd never last in politics again. VT Dems will hapilly re-elect Jeffords since he was already prett popular with them. CT doesn't have enough Republicans to save him and he wouldn't get ANY Democrats.
