Any more news on Max Cleland?

Last week the Washington (Moonie) Times had it that Max Cleland was appointed by Dubya to head the Export-Import Bank. Meaning he'd have to step down from his position on the 9/11 commission.

I haven't heard a word on this since. A Google search turns up nothing. Any info? Anybody?

after what Rove and company did to defeat Cleland last year. I think the Dems should seriously consider him for a position in our administration--Defense Secretary?

3. I have seen this story twice in the last

couple of months and yet have never heard any kind of announcement from Cleland that he is leaving the Commission. Have looked in a variety of places trying to figure out if the position was even offered to Cleland or if this was another "slam" job by the WH.
