Let me say outright that I'm a Deanie, but I think this could apply to Clark as well, and maybe other of our candidates. Someone kindly posted a link to an abc item about Gillespie going to Vermont to criticize Dean. The slant to the coverage is extremely interesting. Right next to a headline "Gillespie criticizes Dean" is a picture of Dean obviously having a blast in front of some young supporters. No picture of Gillespie at all.

Can anyone seriously remember Dukakis or even Gore getting that kind of slant? I think maybe we're beginning to see some bandwagon jumping on the part of the media.

1. you know it could be
That they could have run a photo of Gillespie but not many people would know who he is.

And since the point of the story was Howard Dean and his files, it would make sense to have a photo of him in there.

I'm just looking at this from an ex-newspaper guy's point of view.
