Ugh, WHY does Joe Lieberman continually call himself only 'Joe'?
Go look at his site, everything is Joe. Joe does this, Joe does that. My god, it sounds so, desperate. I mean go to the Dean site, do you see Howard does this, Howard does that? Or either John Kerry or John Edwards; John does this, John does that. Even Dennis Kucinich, a person with a wack last name, doesn't say Dennis does this, Dennis does that.

C'mon Lieberman, stop acting 'hip'.

6. They want you to waste your time defending him
rather than something constructive, like oh, helping the dems who have a chance...

17. We don't have many Mormons in Salt Lake City anymore.
In fact the second largest religion in the city is NONE, which I find funny as hell. The Mormons are leaving because the city is becoming too liberal for their liking.

9. Remember Joe-vember!
Edited on Wed Dec-03-03 07:08 PM by WhoCountsTheVotes
Remember his Fantastic Joe-vember email? Why bother with Lieberman bashing, he is hardly different than Dean or Clark on 90% of the issues. I'm pretty disgusted at his bashing of the candidates and Democratic party in general bashing of late however.

A super liberal Democratic friend of mine said Lieberman's commercial was BY FAR THE BEST, since he included specifics about his platform (and didn't show himself talking too much :) )

For me personally, I loved Sharptons "Alter Call" for the non-registered. Truly inspired!

14. I think Joe is a great asset
to the Democrats. We should definitely keep him around. I'd say he has comedy value, much like a Court Jester from the Middle Ages who kept the king amused.

I noticed, though, that he's not too popular here at the DU, where it's hard to fool people. Seems that the cynical regulars can smell a phony about as quickly as a pile of dog crap on the sidewalk.

And why does he still consider himself a democratic presidential candidate? Does he actually go out on fund-raising speeches and all that stuff? I mean, he's actually spending time convincing people to vote for him.

I think he's secretly working for the Republicans. They asked him to hang in there until next November (even though it's humiliating). They've promised to pay him 50 cents for each vote, just to divert votes from the leading candidate. Who knows? Stranger things have happened.
