I am listening to Rush for the first time in a long time......

Who listens to him and why?

When Clinton was in the white house and the Republicans were on the outside looking in, I could understand why his hate speech might have an audience.

BUT,
they have the whitehouse,
they have congress
they have a majority of the Supreme court....

and STILL he is shouting nonstop about the evil liberals....


Why do they listen to him?

He discusses no news, gives no insight, just chatters on insessently about how all Democrats are bad.

Otherwise the ditto monkeys lose focus. They have to be reminded that Democrats are the enemy, so that when the Dems come out and say, Why hasn't Bush made us safer? Why hasn't he created any jobs? Why is everything he does fake? etc. They'll have a defense mechanism maintained that tells them to disregard ANYTHING a Democrat says.

I vote Democrat. I agree with their views and values, but I don't agree with every plank in the platform. I actually don't mind seeing a healthy Republican representation in congress when we have the whitehouse.

YET...

The message you get from Rush and Sean seems to be, that the US won't be safe till no democrat holds an office higher than dog catcher.

It's frightening.

9. Driving to a clients yesterday...

...a billboard on the side of the road read "Rush to Hannity", as in Rush over to listen to Hannity, or maybe Rush Gasbag to Hannity is the scope and spectrum of opinion. Anyway, I pulled over and hurled all over the side of the road.

When I'm on location, and someone is playing one of those jackasses on the radio, I tell them to shut it off or they'll go without service. I don't give a frick, vile worthless hate spouting lying jackasses. I'll charge double for danger pay in having my 'beautiful mind' polluted by that utter dreg...

seriously. The majority do not read newspapers or watch network news. Only FAUX and rightwing radio. I just spent a tense Thanksgiving with rightwing brother-in-law (Navy officer). He didn't know who Wolfowitz is, Perle, or even Karl Rove. Doesn't read newspapers. Hates CNN and all networks. Only listens to Rush. So. If Rush doesn't cover it, it's not important.
