Teamsters @ UFCW rally .."Dump the truck".We'll give you a REAL job

I was just listening to a several hundred person rally at a Von's Pavillion store in the LA area.. Teamsters were there in force, and as a truck pulled up they all surrounded him.. The teamster guy is handing out cards with that promise on it.. If they dump the truck, the teamsters is guaranteeing them a permanent job..

They are really playing hardball.. This was on 90.7 FM.. You can listen online. I am sure they will replay it :)

1. I'm surprised the strike is still on

With the Teamsters backing up the UFCW. I would think it would be putting *major* pressure on Safeway & Albertsons, et al. Those idiot grocery corporations - I would never take my business back to any of them again.

This is about corporate management. They don't give a fig about local store managers who in turn do not give a damn about workers. I fear a life shopping at FoodForLess...

Union truckers were delivering all kinds of goods to Von's, Ralph's and Albertson's for a full 2 weeks before getting behind the strikers.
