Lawyer believes Clinton White House aide was murdered

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Supreme Court justices sharply grilled a lawyer Wednesday who wants access to 10 police photos taken when the body of Clinton White House lawyer Vince Foster was discovered in 1993.

Several government investigations concluded Foster killed himself, but conspiracy theories persist that he was murdered as a part of a government conspiracy.

In a case with legal, political and personal implications, the court will decide whether the public's right to access graphic evidence related to a closed government investigation outweighs a family's right to privacy.

The Justice Department is fighting a lower-court order to release four of the photos under the Freedom of Information Act.

1. Hopefully, the family will understand
and not stand in the way of an investigation. Then, once and for all, we will find out the truth. The Republicans have for too long used innuendo, rumor and half-truths to slam the Clintons and the left. There is something cynical about the Justice Dept. fighting to keep this closed.

5. No, YOU must be kidding...
I am for disclosure, and anyone should be whether they think it was murder or suicide. There's no national security argument here. As for the family, it's sad but too bad. Pictures of dead people end up published all the time. Would you rather establish the precedent of DOJ discretion in such cases?!

4. On the other hand
If Ken Starr says it was suicide, maybe it's better left un challenged.

6. Bush's justice department is fighting this? They're probably more afraid..
...that the pictures will tend to disprove the murder theory.

7. You have it exactly right.
The truth is that three different investigations ALL concluded that Vince Foster's death was a suicide. Get it people??? A suicide!!

There's no conspiracy. And there is no need for those pictures to be published. None.
