A question about retail corporate taxes-
ABC just did a story about how Evilmart is putting a lot of financial pressure on other toy stores by making many of it's toys
"loss leaders"(selling them at less-than-cost to get people in the store) this year at Christmas...
The question I have is this- If a store purposely sells a product for less than it costs them, do they get to write the "loss" off on their taxes?

One industry at a time, Wallyworld can put them out of business by letting each one take a turn at being a "loss leader", until other sellers of those products are bankrupted.

And the sheeple will continue to feed the beast that's eating their way of life.

1. Not Really, But Sorta
It's not a write-off per se. But if you buy a product at wholesale for $10, but end up selling it for $5, you essentially took a $5 hit, which would come off your bottom line, and you pay taxes on earnings.
