Here's a GREAT entry from the blog 'Red State Rebels.' (

My husband and I recently joined a support group to help us navigate through the emotional ups and downs of a humane intervention. The fallout had gotten too intense; we had to get involved.
A person we once respected and admired has serious problems he's not taking responsibility for. He's defiant, defensive and blames everyone else. He's running with a bad crowd; it's having a terrible influence on his behavior. He's become belligerent, secretive and hard to communicate with. He's taken advantage of the people who support him. He has alienated many long-term friends and relationships.
He runs up huge debts, spends money he doesn't have. Then he asks for more. He is lying, manipulating and making promises he won't keep. We can no longer trust him.
Unfortunately, we don't think he's hit bottom. The denial factor is still too high. He'll probably lose his job. Maybe that's what it will take. But we have to do something before it gets worse. This is affecting many people, causing so much pain and anxiety.
I fervently call on our community to join in this national intervention. Just say "no" to George W. Bush in 2004. And if you are looking for a support group, contact Santa Barbara for Clark. We're here to help.
Of course, I'm a Deanie, so I attend my monthly Dean Meetup support group meetings, but it's all part of the intervention to help get Bush the help he needs!
