Let's put to rest this "Reagan Dime" to rest.
The reason that FDR was pictured on the dime originally was because the dime change was supposed to represent disabilities. Since FDR had polio, it was decided that he would be put on the dime.

Hello, March of Dimes? Sound familiar?

So there is NO reason that Reagan should be on the dime. It would take away the symbolic reason that FDR was placed on the dime to begin with.

I wish that I knew all this stuff, but I didn't. Randi Rhodes (brilliant) talked about it on her show.

1. Thank you...
Didn't realize that's why Roosevelt was on the dime...thanks for the
education.

Apparently lots of people prefer keeping it the same.

7. But they named a destroyer after both him AND Eleanor!
They get to share the honor. Woo hoo...

I hear the new aircraft carrier named after Poppy Bush has an escape pod that allows the captain to escape the ship while everyone else drowns...

4. Nancy's already weighed in and nixed the idea.
Apparently, she's not interested in having Ron become the poster boy for the new Republican propagandists.
