12. I suppose he could have mentioned
that he didn't care for massacring (sp?) peasant farmers for no apparent reason. Coming from a rural state and all that.

Do you think that he would have run and hid if his number been called?

15. You Marines!
Since the US is more than adequately defended by the Pacific, the Atlantic, borders with friendly countries, like who's gonna actually INVADE? Big place to occupy. (Check Iraq)

Yes, you had Dec 41 few thousand miles away, and the Germans were roundly defeated by the Russians already (Thanks for the help).
Like what is there to fear? Except a bit of retribution for the 50 or so uninvited incursions into other nations' business to protect 'American Interests' - will someone please define for me exactly what 'American Interests' are BTW. Corporate? Pepsi? Oil?

In the history of warfare a few jets crashing into tall buildings hadrly constitute 'war'.

The enemy is within, and gettin' stronger Sergeant

The dude

17. you are a real piece of work
Some people are working overtime to see the Democratic party splintered and weak, by name-calling and lies, instead of trying to bring people together to beat Bush. You have posted this same lie numerous times and I expect you will continue to post it (on other forums of course) after Dean gets the nomination. Just the way some turncoat "Democrats" operate.

5. You guys starting bashing Clark its war now
As long as crap like this is posted by Deanie's, there's no reason for anybody else to just lay down and say nothing. And I don't pretend nobody bashes either.

20. But if you agree it is stupid to make shit up to bash Clark
Then why is it sensible to make shit up to bash Dean -- or Gephardt or Kerry et al.

Feel free to post negative facts, but silly-assed, thinly-veiled, factually-devoid spin against any candidate is doing a diservice to all in the field -- including your own candidate.

27. Plenty of Clarkies have attacked Dean long before now
It's really six to one and half a dozen to the other and it's not productive. You can be part of the plan to beat Bush or part of the problem. Which do you want to be?

11. don't feed the monger
. . . some people would rather see the Democratic party splintered and weak, by name-calling and lies, than to beat Bush. The poster you're addressing does not respond to reason or fact; this same lie has been posted by this person numerous times and I expect it will continue to be posted after Dean gets the nomination. 10. Personally I think that's one the best political commercials I've
seen so far. It still doesn't address the Middle Class Tax Hike issue however, but does speak to poorer sectors concerning Dean's record of raising the minimum wage....

Sorry, but I posted this earlier...to me it's still too McGovern like (i.e. Tax and Spend):

"When he (McGovern) came out in favor of a guaranteed annual income for each American family, many wage earners and middle-class voters saw it as a new form of "giveaway" for the benefit of those who would not work. The voters rallied to Richard NIXON's promise to do whatever was necessary to vindicate America's position in the world, and McGovern received 38% of the popular vote, carrying only Massachusetts and the District of Columbia."

As for the Marine out there from a retired "Swabbie"

Down Boy, Down...

Just Kidding of Course...

22. From what I read
it looked like most of them concluded that the ad lacked substance (which it did)- although I don't think that was the point the Clark campaign was trying to get across. It looked to me more like a subtle swipe at the Bush administration's lack of accountability and an attempt to portray Gen. Clark's command presence.

25. Seems to me there are far fewer
Deanies dedicated to bashing other candidates than say Clarkies or Kerry-ites.

Let's be honest here, how many Clark supporters have jumped about within 6 weeks or so and racked up 1000+ posts? And what do they consist of primarily?

My favorite though is the time I was pushing and pushing a certain Clarkie to cough up some facts they claimed to have and whaddayaknow? Some person with like 4 posts jumps in the middle of discussion and lamely defends the Clarkies's position, in a style of so similar to the original Clarkie who made the erroneous statement.

Pretty sad when ya gotta recruit (or become) a newbie to fight a battle sticking your foot in your mouth caused. Damn sad.

But hey, whatever. I say do the double IDs, scan the board for anything Dean and bash, bash, bash. It does nothing for your candiate and apparently just gives more press to mine.

By all means, consider yourself encouraged.

Julie

26. You know-
If a candidate really truly wants to be president of the USA, they should ask their supporters to do more to spread their message of anti-Bush & pro-American values. Just being "anti-Dean" isn't going to work all the way to the White House, or even work all the way through the primaries. A campaign based on mostly "anti-Dean" policies is not one to be taken very seriously. And I say this as a youngin' of 24 short years who had given up all hope until Dean came along. He did a favor to the Democratic party by bringing me into it, since I belong to a very apathetic demographic. The Dem party should be thankful for this, since I had no plans of being a Democrat, let alone a yellow-dog. Dean may very well have changed that forever. Because I sure don't see a lot of admirable Democratic qualities in the present leaders of OUR party.

Is the Democratic party happy to have me registered as a Dem and actively participating, or would they prefer I go sit on the sidelines, not voting? Dean showed me there IS room in my party for me, FINALLY.

And I know I'm not the only one in the 18-25 demographic who feels this way.

Thank you, Howard Dean (and hell, Dennis Kucinich as well), for making me proud to say I am a DEMOCRAT, and intend to remain one for the 30 years of voting I have left. As for the DNC and DLC, they should be thanking him too.
