Poll question: Who is the worst Republican other than Georgie?
Top of my list are Santorum and Jeb Bush.

And what would you do if one of them ran for President?

I Hate Republicans

1. Hadda go with Delay, and I would LOVE for him to run for Prez...
...he operates under the radar, and we need to get this evil sob onto the national stage so people will realize just what filth is actually pulling strings in Congress!

26. Don't think so, he just might WIN!!!!
Hell all delay would have to do, would be to pass the 'beer buddy' test among the apolitical voters, and the Dem not.

His record?? They don't care. Now, how his wife dresses, THAT is important!!! :eyes:

2. I had to vote for Santorum, he's the guy who said the horrible thing
about gays. I have a lot of gay friends and they are better people than Santorum could ever be. He evidently doesn't know that the majority of sexual deviants are...heterosexual white males.

Tom Delay. The guy has about as much Christian compassion as a rabid weasel.

5. I voted for Cheney
aka the Real President and the neocon pipeline to the figurehead. After him Rumsfeld and Ashcroft, and then Tom DeLay.

6. This was tough
to narrow down to just one! I picked DeLay becaause he wields so much power. Cheney is up there too for the same reason. There is something truly evil about those two. Santorum is a twit.

11. Defintiely Prescott Bush,
I voted Other.

Prescott Bush funneled Hitler millions of Marks in 1927 and 1929, and then helped to raise the money for 400,000 Brownshirts and the banners and boots and straps (where do you think all that stuff came from in Depression Germany?) and then helped to arrange the funding of the rearmament of Germany in the 30s and then brought Nazi after Nazi across the ocean to preach to the Bund Movement here in America and then was indicted by FDR under the Trading With the Enemy Act in October 1942, and then continued to trade with the Nazis all through the War and then was nominally the Manager in charge of the Silesian companies that used slave labor from Auschwitz and then helped to assist all the top Nazis he could escape Europe in Operation PaperClip after the war.

I would say that helping Hitler and playing such a large part in starting and building up the Nazi War Machine makes Prescott Bush the worst Republican besides his grandson, wouldn't you?

10. What an odious bunch indeed
Had to vote Santorum, he's such a snivelling, self-righteous piece of garbage who evokes violent thoughts in my otherwise rather at-peace mind. Frist & AssKKKroft are close behind. Oral Snatch is such a blowhard he almost makes me laugh. Rumsfeld is your run o' the mill War Pig (see eponymous Black Sabbath song), Cheney is the puppetmaster, Hastert is your basic fat bastard.

Sorry for the mini-rant, but I'm new to DU, and need to do some venting. I live in a district in NC where a Democrat hasn't even bothered running for Congress the last two times (I've only been here since '99).

13. Tough choice: DeLay or Cheney?
The Prince of Darkness vs. Darth Vader? Can't go wrong with either choice. Both are thoroughly, inherently evil personified. More influential? Probably Cheney.

19. This really shocks me.
Jeb Bush's approval rating is still over 50%. After the "devious plan", the Schiavo law, the local phone rate hike, and many more.

Here's the link to the poll.

22. Voted for Ashcroft since he scares me the most
on a philosophical level and seems poised to do the most damage overall. It was a difficult decision since I despise Santorum's policies and hypocrisy (I live in PA). Plus DeLay is pretty horrifying as well.

Almost makes me long for the day when I thought Orrin and his anti-choice ilk ( names are escaping me at present) were the worst! When Gingrich and his pawns came on the scene, I thought, oh these guys are worse. And, just when you think there couldn't be a worse batch, then a new group comes along! (* and Frist, McConnell, etc.) Where do they grow these people? They seem to be more and more virulent and creepy all the time.

that disgust me. You forgot the biggest dick of them all though, Newt Gingrich. Even though he fell from grace and is no longer important, the damage he did to our country when he was able to was pretty disgusting.

25. Delay has done the most damage, even more than Ashcroft
Delay can crack heads. He can win votes by any means fair
or foul. Delay is their enforcer. If not for him, a lot of Dubya's
junk would never have been law.

Ashcroft is dangerous, but incompetent. If he wasn't given
power, he could never get it himself.

34. I had to vote for Orrin Hatch
Though if any of these candidates ran for president and won, well, I hear that Vancouver is very nice this time of year.

However, I (think, hope, pray, beg) that America is smart enough not to vote for any of them.
