I just shook Dean's hand twice and spoke to him twice
I said "give them hell Howard Dean" when he went by shaking hands and later I said "What do you plan to do about the black box voting machines, they leave no paper trail?" He said,"that is a very big issue and they are illegal." He gave a great speach.

1. Hey that's cool!
I shook his hand it San Jose, all I could manage was "Thank you!"

But good for you for asking him about this. I think enough people have been talking to the candidates about this, it's gotten their attention.

3. Nice job Rainy
If enough people keep bringing it to his attention, it WILL be an issue on the forefront in the 2004 election. Good on ya!

4. How many people were there?
What was the overall reaction of the crowd? Was this the same speech he gave in South Carolina--or similar?

5. The crowd loved him, cheered every other sentence

The speech was different then the SC speech from what I could tell by another thread. We are a big Military area, he spoke of the war, medical bill etc... He was on fire and saying all of the right things. The crowd loved him. There were over 300 people there and the community just found out about his visit today in the morning paper.

9. fine by me if pro Black Box Voting people want to publicize the issue
Voters want a paper trail.

The companies may say the status quo is fine, and the election boards prefer to be in a situation where they won't have the chore of doing a recount, but I have yet to see a regular person on a message-board argue that black-box voting is preferable.
