anyone have a link to the "pray for Bush" leaflets?
I read in at least a couple of newspapers that Bush had sent leaflets to the troops in Iraq. The primary prupose of these leaflets was to urge the troops to pray for Bush. Does anyone have a good link to a news story regarding this?? Thanks.

4. Dunno about the leaflets...
...but if you take a step inside many of the right wing fundie "Christian" bookstores you will see a "Presidential Prayer Team" display. It has info on how you can join the "prayer team" to pray for B*s*, and on the display is a drawing of ghostlike figures of George Washington and Abraham Lincoln standing behind B*s* with their hands on his shoulders as they all bow their heads in prayer.

I dunno about anyone else but I find the very thought that Washington and Lincoln would be praying alongside that POS occupying the White House to be singularly despicable and absurd. Washington and Lincoln are praying all right as they roll over in their graves - praying for B*s*'s removal and for the cancer of conservatism to be excised from this country.

Also, the way the fundamentalist leadership is mobilizing Christians to support Republican Party politics using this kind of propoganda effort is likewise despicable, and quite a bit scary. Evangelicals have become the right wing's biggest single constituency that can be counted on to always vote Rethug. Organizing a strong, vocal, broad-based, liberal Christian constituency just may be the key to breaking up the Rethug coalition and splitting them apart. Thoughts?
