Another soldier died today - guarding a gas station. An Iraqi policeman was killed. Three soldiers were "wounded" defusing bomb..... (hey, bandaid problems, not missing limbs or burned bodies)....
When I browse some politics forums and the dead and wounded are brought up...the typical response is "Hey, soldiers die in war...what d'ya expect?" Am I just in some nighmare here... or is there something terribly wrong?
There are no questions any more about the reasons we invaded Iraq. The mantra now is that we have to catch the "bad guys: - listen for that phrase....and everying is kosher because Saddam killed a lot of people. Didn't we kill hundreds of thousands of Iraqis between the two wars and the sanctions? Am I out of line, here?
No one is focusing on the WMD lies any more. It's a non issue. So many non issues. Are the dem candidates focusing on any of the lies still coming out of the WH - or raising the Wilson leak issue, or the 9/11 missing pages... or ,...heaven forbid...the Cheney secret energy meetings? Why do I expect to come across a Tea Party with a Mad Hatter?
